What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a paid job which offers hands-on work experience alongside off-the-job training. For people over the age of 16 in England, apprenticeships range from levels 2-7. Degree-equivalent apprenticeships start at level 6 or above.
Training takes many forms and makes up around 20% of the contracted hours.
There are no student loans or tuition fees as it is funded by the government and employer.
